<h4 class="title2">独特な視野のカメラは画角も自然でおおいに役立つ</h4>

きょうびミニバンというと、休日なら賑わうレジャースポットやホームセンターへ家族で出かける際のトランスポーター、平日なら奥様の買い物の足…と、様々なシチュエーションでフル活用されている。それだけに扱いやすさは、かなり重視すべきポイントだ。<br />
<br />
オデッセイは、サイドウインドウのウエッジした形状により、エクシーガと比較してしまうとクーペ感覚の視界に思えるのは事実。が、補助装置ながらバックカメラの画像が鮮明で、カメラアングル＆レンズの画角も自然なため、コレのアシストに助けられながら、車庫入れはスムーズに行えた。1800mmの車幅もそれほど意識しない。<br />
<br />
縦列駐車も、サイド＆前方の視野も確保する独特のカメラがおおいに役立った。本来なら自信をもてない左前コーナーの車両感覚までもつかめるのはありがたい。<br />
<br />
また、サードシート本体の基本骨格は、どうやら先代からのキャリーオーバーのようだが、ヘッドレストが形状変更され、格納時、先代より低く収まるようにし、後方視界を改善しているのは見逃せない。

<h4 class="title2">エクシーガは5ナンバー車感覚の扱いやすさが魅力</h4>

使いやすさの観点から見て、無条件で“合格！”と認定したいのがエクシーガである。<br />
<br />
扱いやすい車であることは今回のテストでもしっかり実感できたが、とくに評価したいのは、駐車のやりやすさ。実はこの車の全幅は1775mmあるのだが、それなのに“5ナンバー車感覚の扱いやすさだった”と言えば、そのやりやすさがお伝えできるだろうか？<br />
<br />
具体的には、とにかくベルトラインが低く窓（視界）が広いのがこの車の最大のメリット。なので相対的に高い位置になるドライバーの視点から周囲が見渡しやすく、スムーズで安心した車庫入れが可能になる。<br />
<br />
また後方視界にもこだわるスバル車らしく、エクシーガの場合も運転席から振り返ると、サードシートの背もたれが邪魔せずにリアウインドウ越しの視界も十分で良い。<br />
<br />
縦列駐車も、今回の2車はボディ全長＆ホイールベースが長めのミニバンの割にはやりやすい印象をもったが、エクシーガは車庫入れ同様、視界が広いことと、運転者のアイポイントが高いことがやりやすさの基本的な理由となっている。さらにボンネットが見え、カメラの画像も補助的ではあるが有効なのがなお良い。

<p><!-- short sentence start -->楽に運転するならAT車に限ります。しかも最近のATは進化していて、変速スピードは速いし、ドライバーのアクセル踏み込み量に瞬時に反応してキックダウンもしてくれます。だからハンドル操作に集中できますし、楽なんです。しかし、そこには運転という行為を形骸化している面があることも否めません。右足と左足を上手に使いアクセルコントロール、クラッチ操作、そしてシフトチェンジをする、という古典的な運転、今一度楽しんでみませんか? 気になる車は中古車カタログや物件をチェックしてみてください。<!-- short sentence end --></p>
<p>第5位はジープラングラー(旧型)。本格派クロカンであるラングラーをマニュアルで乗るって、ハードコアな雰囲気が伝わってきませんか?オフロードを重視した足回りゆえに、お世辞にも現代のレベルではオンロード性能はプアと表現せざるを得ません。ただ、そんな走りにノスタルジーを感じるのも事実です。それをドライバーがせっせとシフトチェンジして操ることが、運転する楽しさを感じさせてくれます。うまく運転できたときに味わえる達成感、支配感が癖になります。</p>
<p>第4位はアルファロメオアルファ156(絶版)。デビュー当時、セミATやATもラインナップされていましたが、やはり気持ち良いのはMTでした。いずれの自動変速機もタイムラグが若干大きめで、せっかくエンジンが味わわせてくれる官能が損なわれてしまう気がします。ブレーキタッチやクラッチのミートポイントは、個体によって異なる感じがするアルファロメオのMT車ではありますが、MTで操る楽しさはピカイチ。アクセルに連動したエグゾースト音を、自分のシフト操作で楽しみましょう。</p>
<p>第3位はVWルポ(絶版)。MTが設定されていたのは最上級モデルのGTIのみでした。よって今回オススメするのはルポGTIです。全長わずか3525mmのコンパクトカーで大人4人がちゃんと座れて、しかも予想だにしない高速安定性を実現させています。アウトバーンで200km/h走行することを前提にしてあるせいか、短いホイールベースの割にしっかり走るのには驚かされます。1.6Lエンジンはパワフルとは言えませんが、MT操作でちゃんとパワーを引き出してあげることに醍醐味があります。</p>

<p>第2位はトヨタマークII(絶版)。意外性を求める人にオススメです。iR-Vと呼ばれるターボモデルにのみ5MTが奢られていました。ドリフトベース車としての人気が根強く、意外に高値安定しています。あえてファミリィカーとして、社外エアロパーツに身を包んでいない個体を狙いたいものです。昨今、この手のミドルクラスセダンでMTの設定はほとんどありません。そういう意味では、MT車のファミリィカーって個性的です。ついでに言うとMT車を乗りこなす女性に男性は弱いです。</p>
<p>第1位はミニ(絶版)。1959年に登場したミニは、基本コンセプトをそのままに約40年間販売され続けた車です。よくぞそんな昔から、ここまで作れたものだと感心させられます。そして最近の中古車でも、デビュー当初のノスタルジーに浸ることができます。AT車の設定もありますが、あまり良い出来映えではありません。MT車は、五感を研ぎ澄ませ、車と対話しながら運転するような雰囲気があって、運転する行為が特別なものに感じられることでしょう。アンティーク的味わいです。<br>
